the thing i would like to see is paying for all of Law Enforcement to get a bachelor's degree, ideally we would empower them to adjudicate at the scene of an altercation so that the dockets of the courts aren't ridiculously overbooked, either that or the precincts need a mediation board that is powerful and active to circumvent some of the disputes where both partys are willing to be cooperative and respectful.
I just think the police need more responsibility for the outcomes. They're the ones at the scene. They meet who is there and hear their version at the time before they can make up a story. Seems to me they are the best judges of what goes on. The Department of Justice needs to be completely restructured.
I was just reading where over half of the girLs in prison were made criminals for defending themselves. That's kind of crazy. Instead of the police who actually know what-all-happened and are in the best position to provide justice, we put the whole shitty thing on indefinite hold so our Courts can let the Prosecutor cut deals.
Does this kind of thing drive your sons nuts?
