ANYWAY the actors play the hell out of Pope Benedict & Pope Frances and when Bergoglio says The Lord is in the sky. We are here. It'sperfect. And what the film industry does and how the screenwriter writes, it plays out in my heart when it speaks to me . how beautifully human they have made Jorge. As a Catholic the title of the movie made me curious but not very, it seemed like it would be boring but i kept being intrigued by the idea that they could make me suspend mhy disbelief. I cried my eyes out. I thought it would be boring but I didn't think about the backstory of The Dirty Wars. How ironic that Pryce played Peron in Evita. i wept hard as they showed the violence and made a cup of tea to get away from it, history is not rivetting when you already know what happened. THAT was not just a news cycle and it's like Frances said: Are you out of your mind, you're making a musical about evaPERON?! it was a nice touch to do the flashbacks in b&w even though it wasn't that long ago was it? It's a trade off. The b&w thinking of fascists is highlighted. And the clear contrast between the young priest and the old cardinal. It was all technicolor to me. Crying like a baby. He became Jesuit in 1969. I was entering high school.
i also watched the movie about The Panama Papers and it has the same flavor doesn't it? corruption and getting away with murder . my whole feeling i had at the time the data breach exposed all the shell companys and how very few names they named out of 100,000, ugh, i twas a new cycle without teeth, it all comes rushing back to me, it was really not that long ago, like it was yesterday, anyway, another in a long line of leaks, the corruption and the feeling i had The Medea putting them in the limeLIGHT, and going back under the rock with barely an echo on The Richter Scale to go unsung and unheard again when they hadn't even revealed the names that were revealed, just that they WERE revealed, so Like, to whom? The News? Dot Gov? Who sat on them?
The Reporters are trained to applaud this respect of privacy but then they are betrayed by the Barry adm, DOJ permanently compromised The Fourth Estate, subpoenaed their emails. Their emails. More corruption. Reporters have to go all deepthroat with secret meetings and false accounts to protect their sources, another layer of deception just to do their job. Detection should nt have to be all cloak & dagger because Dot cheats. The Security force is all top secret this and clearance that but they don't need it! The Pentagon is open carry before god & country anyway. So why pretend they have something to hide. The Press are the ones who need the protection of privacy. The loss of privacy is entirely due to gov hackers, Dot Gov created the internet. It's hers. Nothing flies under the radar in Cyberia.
So anyway The partners at The Firm spend 6 months in jail, that's it, for all that fraud and that was all that happened to them. Meanwhile people's Lives were destroyed in their wake.
Unlike, daltonTrumbo, who also did a short jail sentence, in complete contrast the screenwriters who had done no damage at all, all went to jail too. But not for long. But they hadn't done anything wrong either. i watched Trumbo again this week twice and i must say the bigger picture emerges on a second viewing, and the complete waste of all those hearings that exposed exactly nothing, The House subpoened The Hollywood Ten and asked them what their politics were and then put them in jail for it and how two Liberal justices died during their appeal, and it makes me think that Robert almost certainly knew that they were going to kill him and he couldn't really talk about it
