she went with her, tagged along, and together they went home

so sometime in the future
studying the history of the world

and making particular note of the extraordinary change that took place
once people acknowledged that they were intelligible to each other

such a massive accomplishment
the towering waterfall,
gushing in spring
babbling in winter

and how had everything worked out then
and one story out of all of them
the story of the historian

and the great fight against misinformation
and how the unscrupulous would tamper with the voice

and how i was thinking of myself as so imminently forgettable
and how e.b.white wrote that they had digested the entire works of Hemingway into one word
Bang.

isn't that something

and he keeps doing that too, there are always the writers who are saying what everyone else is thinking, and making sure that it is said which is a whole other

and there is the way things move so smoothly along now and how clean we are and how we look in horror at the failures of accommodation that were such everyday commonplaces, it is a wonder we were able to pull ourselves together

although that's not fair really since obviously we had it in us
and yet when you really look at the beginning of The Third Millenium it seems almost hopeless really doesn't it
one wonders what it must have been like to have no idea?

and that is something that we forget so quickly
and yet we are all born with no idea,
and still we tend to think of those who were born in an earlier place and time as someone not as well adjusted as we are

all the while
completely leaving everything out of the equation that is supposedly value added but which in fact created such byproducts

and how they did not account for them at all
even when they massacred all the wildlife and eliminated all their habitats
the encroaching seemed far and long past irreversible

and when we think of what is lost sometimes
even though the songbirds have made a remarkable come back,

there are too many extinct species

the hubris of people to eliminate the work of billions of years of evolution
it makes one quite hateful toward one's own kind when they do such pointless destructive things

the capacity to shrug
this was considered a golden quality among the 20th century philosophers
once godel disproved the logical foundation of maths
the algorithm took over the world

most of them didn't realize the implications of this work model
but working was so much  better than explaining

and has people adjusted their thinking, they began getting these amazing things done together
and there was a sudden burst of energy into salvage and salve and salvation
a balm to the chaff and the chaffing and the chaffed

and keeping a lightheart, not from irony, which is too satirical and tends toward the heavy of heartedness which is just what you don't want command more from a genuine appreciation for the values which are there
will be there
can be seen
do their best

there are 35,000 countries in the world now
and all of the warfare is virtual
they finally made a movie about The French Revolution that used gallons and gallons of fake blood in the scenes which is always missing when you watch any of those old thing like Scarlet Pimpernel, or Tale of Two Citys or Marie Antoinette of Austria who unfortunately for her married Louis Sixteen who lost his head in downtown Paris, blood flowed there for weeks, with tumbrils full of aristocrats being taken to the center of the city...  where was it?  i don't really know

near the Arch de Triumph?
Napoleon manned his great armys with French boys who had been traumatized witnessing the revolution. The war was not fought between foes.  The monarchy was easily overthrown and the rest of the royalists were killed by the newly formed republic.   The power vacuum was just waiting for Napoleon to get sucked into it.

and Michael Farraday harnessed magnetism and the world changed forever
the rest, as they say, is history,  leading segue into Steve Jobs and The Work Revolution

and now look at us
we're doing great!

we are all of us greatly enjoying our privilege
to be aLive
and how this came about from that is the subject of my dissertation

Mercy is the Key to All Liberty
